Can People Truly Change?
It’s a difficult question, but I truly believe—100%—that people can change. Physically and mentally, change is absolutely possible. The real challenge is this: how many people actually have the will to change? Especially in a company setting, where we often want others to change, things rarely go the way we hope. Why? Because the ideal version of someone we imagine almost never matches the ideal that they have for themselves. When we try to force that ideal onto others, we become aggressive or frustrated, and we start blaming them for things that don’t go well. Yes, people can change. But only when they truly decide to do so. Even if someone says, “I want to change,” if their commitment is half-hearted, real change won’t happen. There’s one more important truth: People who blame others or their environment for their struggles will continue to face the same issues—even if they move to a new situation.
