Valuing the encounters and the people in front of us now

The year 2024 has begun. This year started with challenges right from New Year's Day, including the Hokuriku earthquake and the Haneda accident, making for a distressing start. We, as a company and as individuals, want to do what we can.

In life, we meet various people. There are encounters that lead to the best of relationships, expected to last forever. There are also encounters that feel like betrayals or are incredibly painful. And then, there are many encounters that seem neither here nor there, ones we might think of as 'insignificant.'

Both good and bad encounters leave a deep imprint in our memories and experiences. However, it's often the numerous neutral encounters that might one day turn into significant opportunities or triggers.

This is a chance that cannot be gained if you live your life based only on short-term profit and loss. If you communicate with the people around you sincerely, carefully, and fairly, there's a possibility of re-encountering them someday, somewhere.

On the other hand, if you disregard people who are not immediately beneficial to you or who appear to be in a lower position, the potential for future encounters approaches zero.

Even if you think you'll never meet someone again, chances are you will cross paths with some of them. This is the intrigue of life; how isolated points can connect to form a line, linking the present to the future.

This year, you will encounter many people. Not all these encounters will be positive. While you can't control others' actions and words, you have complete control over your own. Let's cherish the encounters we have this year and in the future, valuing the people we meet.

These actions may become a treasure in 5, 10, or even 20 years.
