The Power of Shared Ideas: From One Spark to Many

Lately, I’ve been experiencing something truly exciting—
new ideas start flowing every time I talk with someone.

Have you ever felt that spark?
An idea you’d never think of on your own suddenly appears, triggered by someone else’s comment. And then, it grows—evolving into something even better.

That’s exactly what’s been happening a lot lately.
And none of these ideas came from me alone.

It’s through everyone’s contributions—the back-and-forth of sharing, refining, and building on each other’s thoughts—that powerful, high-value ideas are born.



There’s an old Japanese saying:
“Three people together create the wisdom of Monju.”
So what happens when we bring together 100 people? 400?

That’s the kind of world we’re aiming for with our Kinoko Management 🍄

Just imagining what we can create together fills me with excitement.
But as CEO, I know excitement alone isn’t enough.
We need a strong, stable business foundation to make these ideas a reality.

That’s why we work hard to eliminate waste, enhance product and service quality, and grow our revenue.
These efforts allow us to say, “Go for it!” when someone brings a new idea to the table—instead of “Not now.”

Let’s keep building a workplace where more and more Go! Go! (55) moments can happen—together!

Facing Fear and Seeking Growth

 Some of you may already know this, but I make it a habit to read 10 to 15 books every month. It’s not so much a hobby—rather, I feel uneasy if I’m not constantly exposing myself to new ideas, disciplining my mind, and learning with hunger and intention. It might sound unpleasant to some, but in reality, having a strict boss or senior colleague who constantly tells you, “This is not good enough!” is a privilege. What is the "Kinoko Management" style for Hattori??

 As the season for warm, hearty meals approaches, mushrooms— kinoko in Japanese—frequently appear in dishes like hot pots. I personally love maitake mushrooms, although “mushroom” is how we refer to them in English. Interestingly, we intentionally call our management style Kinoko Management in English as well, keeping the unique essence of this concept. Mushrooms are not vegetables but fungi. Their defining role is in promoting decomposition, enabling the cycle of life to continue. What we see above ground—the mushrooms themselves—is just the tip of the iceberg. Below the surface lies the expansive mycelium network , an intricate web that connects mushrooms and plants, instantly sharing information and nutrients.
