The Hidden Path Behind the Wall

 Anyone who’s ever taken on a real challenge knows this:

No matter how motivated you are in the beginning, you’ll almost always hit a wall.

Sometimes that wall feels massive—so big it seems like there’s no way forward.
You look ahead and think, There’s nothing left. No options. No path.

But in my experience, if you keep going—if you refuse to give up and keep searching, even while struggling—
a new path will eventually appear.
It might be narrow and hard to see at first.
But it will be there.


There are two kinds of people:

  • Those who hit a wall, can’t see a way forward, and give up.

  • And those who hit a wall, but keep fighting—digging, crawling, even in the dark—until they find that tiny path forward.

I believe with all my heart that the ones who succeed in the end… are the second group.
They may not look perfect.
Their journey may not be smooth or glamorous.
But they finish what they started—and that brings real happiness.

At least, that’s what I believe.
And it’s how I choose to live.

Facing Fear and Seeking Growth

 Some of you may already know this, but I make it a habit to read 10 to 15 books every month. It’s not so much a hobby—rather, I feel uneasy if I’m not constantly exposing myself to new ideas, disciplining my mind, and learning with hunger and intention.  As the season for warm, hearty meals approaches, mushrooms— kinoko in Japanese—frequently appear in dishes like hot pots. I personally love maitake mushrooms, although “mushroom” is how we refer to them in English. Interestingly, we intentionally call our management style Kinoko Management in English as well, keeping the unique essence of this concept. Mushrooms are not vegetables but fungi.
